Homemade Granola Bars

Need a quick on the go pre-workout snack but don’t care for all the preservatives and sugars in the Questbars? Here is a quick recipe to make your own bars for the entire week!

The Sexy Vegan Cookbook by Brian Patton:

“The Almond Brothers Breakfast Bar”

  • Oven to 350 degrees
  • Large bowl mix together:
    • 1 cup chopped almonds
    • 1 cup sunflower seeds
    • 1 cup oats
    • 8 oz dried cherries
    • 1 cup almond or peanut butter
    • 1/4 cup maple syrup
    • 2 mashed ripe bananas
    • Pinch of salt
  • Spray 9×13 pan with coconut oil spray and pour in mixture
  • Bake for 25 mins or until edges are brown
  • Cool on counter for 1 hour
