Sunday Crockpot Recipe

“Slow Cooker Pulled Pork”


In your crockpot place:

  •  2.5 lb boneless pork loin roast (center cut, trimmed of all fat) or 2.5 lb of chicken (add broth if using chicken)
  • 2 tsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder & 1 tsp sea salt

Cook on high for 4-6 hours.

Take out the pork or chicken and pour liquid into a cup. Shred the pork/chicken and place back into the crockpot. Also pour 3/4 cup of the liquid back into the crockpot & 1-1/2 cup of BBQ sauce. Cook for 1 more hour.

Serve on 1/2 a bun or “lettuce” bun & top with 1 tablespoon of BBQ sauce and homemade slaw: shredded cabbage & carrots, a little vinegar, salt, and a teaspoon of olive oil.
